Like its companion edition in the e-book format, Rising R&B/Hip-Hop Players in the New Millenium, this volume provides concise bios of important past and present R&B and rap artists in addition to other agencies (e.g., record labels) playing a key role in promoting the genre. Much of this information is hard to find in either online or traditional print publications. In order to cover the many key artists and industry entities not included in either of the aforementioned titles, additional encyclopedia installments are planned for the future.
